A Visit from the Granddog

NEARLY WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

Lately, the Chem Geek Princess has been bringing our granddog, Ruby, over the get acquainted with Zoey and develop social skills with Lily.

The CGP and Princess Ruby pull up in style,
with Ruby looking out the window in anticipation of adventures in the mountains.

She is a good car rider, and enjoys letting her ears flow in the breeze.

OOPS!
This place is new and exciting,
and Ruby was so excited that
she got tangled in her leash on
the front porch. Before anyone
could help her, she got it figured out!

Getting to know Zoey.
Here, the CGP very seriously introduced
Ruby to her adopted grandma dog, Zoey.

She met some other new relatives, and neighbors, too!

Relaxing on the rug with Zoey, under Grandpa
Engineering Geek's watchful eye.
Zoey seemed a little put out, but later
settled down to sleep without further ado.

Lily, on the other hand, was briefly introduced,
but Ruby stared and growled.
Not a promising start.
We have some more work to do!

With grandma on the porch, just before it was time to get into the car and go back to Albuquerque and the Chem Geek Princess's little house.

Ruby had a fine day and ate not only her lunch, but Lily and Zoey's as well!

It's a joy to see the fun and enthusiasm of a puppy!

  1. Fun to *SEE* the enthusiasm of a puppy (I did not enjoy that stage at all).

I'm sorry to read about the issues you are having with your own dog.

  2. She is a Cutie. And I love her adoring expression as she is gazes at Zoey. Poor Zoey looks as if a puppy is Not what she is in the mood for, though.
