A Touch of Green to Gladden the Heart

NEARLY WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

It started like this at the very end of April...

A touch of green,
tightly wrapped,
not yet ready to venture out.
It could still snow...

and did a few days later.

And in the first week of May,
tiny leaves venture out,
testing their flexibility in the wind.

And then, suddenly, it seemed,
the leaves though new, are full,
dancing in the Mother's Day breeze!

And the door garden,
so recently dormant,
has become abundantly,
fruitfully green.
Spring comes in May in the Sandias.
