Last week I wrote about the Mark Steyn Trial as a case in point of the danger to the Rule of Law created by so-called hate speech legislation.
It seems the trial of Mark Steyn in the British Columbia Human Rights Commission kangaroo court has been dismissed. It appears that the provincial government has not the stomach to ruin the lives of bestselling authors, only of people who have no public persona and no redress.
Steyn is a New York Times bestselling author and the case was getting unwanted (by the HRC) publicity--in the United States. You can read more about that at the Ottawa Citizen, here and here.
